We're excited to welcome you back
In line with government announcements, we'll be re-opening the centre from 2nd December. We're very excited to welcome everyone back!
The booking system will go live on Sunday 29th November at 6am, and sessions will be available to book a week in advance from that point. All sessions will continue to need to be pre-booked, as previously. By far the best way to organise your bookings is through the RGPro Connect mobile app, which lets you book sessions, save your details, and cancel sessions where necessary. See link for more details.
Tier 2 restrictions
We now know that Brighton & Hove will be in Tier 2 once we reopen, which means that you should not arrange to meet people from outside your own household at the centre (or any other indoor space). Our café will also only be open for takeaway service. When in the centre, you should make sure to keep at least 2m apart from others not from your own household. We will continue to significantly restrict the capacity of the centre to allow everyone to do this.
Instructed sessions for U18s have been granted some exemptions from these rules, so the limited amount of youth instruction we have been able to restart since July can continue as before the second lockdown. The bulk of our instructed groups (e.g. Boulder Academy sessions) are still on hold for the time being, unfortunately.
Updated cancellations policy
We are strengthening our cancellations policy to discourage people from making last-minute cancellations, as speculative bookings were making it really hard for some people to book sessions at all. Cancellations must now be made at least 24 hours before the session start time, and will not be possible after that.
If prepaid members or multipack holders do not turn up for their booked session, or fail to cancel it at least 24 hours before the session start time, the following measures will be applied:
- Multipack holders: one climb will be subtracted from the account
- Prepaid members: 3 days will be subtracted from the remaining membership period
We hate to add new rules but this seems like the fairest way to give everyone an equal chance of booking a slot.
Help us keep the centre safe and open by following our main covid rules:
⛔ Tier 2: don't arrange to climb with people not from your own household
👨👩👧👦 Maintain 2m social distance from people not in your household at all times
💦 Wash or sanitise your hands on the way in, during your climb, and on the way out
😷 Wearing a face mask is mandatory, unless you're actively climbing, eating or drinking
