Prepaid Members will no longer need to pre-book their climbs from this date
Thanks for bearing with us as we have slowly started to relax covid restrictions at the centre over the past few weeks. From Monday 13th September we will be removing some additional restrictions, meaning that prepaid Monthly Members and Multipack Holders will no longer need to pre-book their sessions in advance.
All other sessions will still need to be pre-booked through our website or mobile app in the same way as they are currently, including pay-as-you-go climbs, instructed sessions, and family bookings (unless everyone in the family is a Monthly Member). Please note that although we will still be able partially to manage numbers in this way, it’s likely that the centre will start to feel busy at peak times. If you would like a quieter session, we’d recommend visiting early on weekday mornings or late on weekend evenings, as these are normally the calmest times - we’ll be putting a live capacity counter onto the website / app so that you can see how busy the centre is before you set out for your visit.
We’re still really focused on getting good ventilation at the centre, and we’ll keep doing this by keeping windows and doors open as much as possible and running our big industrial extractor fans which have been working hard all year keeping the air fresh. Staff will continue to clean regularly and provide hand sanitiser for everyone’s use. While mask wearing is not compulsory under current guidelines, we still encourage everyone who can to wear a mask in the building while you’re not climbing, particularly on the way in and out and if you’re just having a chat with staff or other households. As ever, please don’t visit if you’re unwell – we’re happy to give refunds.
As we get busier we are aware that parking at the centre will become more limited so please come by alternate means where you can. There is lovely new bike parking down the side of the centre, and arriving by bike is the ultimate efficient warm-up too.
We think these changes are a reasonable next step on the cautious road to normal - thanks everyone for your continuing support, hope you’ve been enjoying the boulders!
